Officers spotted the 16-year-old acting suspiciously around 7 PM on Saturday. They heard screams coming from the area and quickly moved in. Turns out, he had a 60000k volt taser on him.
The police had to take him down and arrest him. Thankfully, no one got hurt during the chaos. Greater Manchester Police shared footage of the arrest, showing how serious the situation was.
Inspector Jon Ezard emphasized how dangerous it is to have a weapon like that in public. He praised the quick response of the officers, which helped prevent any harm. The boy has been bailed but is still under investigation for his reckless actions.
Ezard also reminded everyone that tasers are not toys and should never be used for fun. The police are committed to keeping the community safe and will continue to patrol areas based on intelligence to prevent incidents like this from happening again.
