Central Indiana braces for more snow, impacting travel and temperatures this Tuesday
Indianapolis: It’s going to be a chilly couple of days ahead. More snow is falling across central Indiana, and it’s already causing some minor travel issues. The National Weather Service says we can expect light snow to continue until about 10 a.m. today.
So, if you’re heading out, be ready for some slick roads and reduced visibility. Indianapolis might see about half an inch of snow, which isn’t too much, but it can still make things a bit tricky.
Tonight, temperatures are going to drop significantly, hitting lows between 0 and -5 degrees. And with the wind chill, it could feel as cold as -15. Yikes! If you’re going outside, make sure to bundle up and keep your pets warm too.
Looking at the rest of the week, Tuesday will start with snow showers, but we might see some sunshine later. The high will be around 22 degrees. Wednesday looks a bit better with mostly sunny skies, but it’ll still be cold.
As for the snow this winter, Indianapolis has already seen 15.7 inches, with a big chunk coming from a storm earlier this month. So, stay safe out there and keep an eye on the weather updates!
