In A Working Man, Jason Statham fights against human traffickers to save a missing girl
London: Jason Statham is back at it again, taking on corruption in the new trailer for Amazon MGM’s A Working Man. Directed by David Ayer, this action thriller features Statham as Levon Cade, a former Royal Marine turned construction worker. He’s just trying to live a quiet life, but when the daughter of his employers goes missing, he jumps back into action to save her.
As he digs deeper, Levon uncovers a tangled web of human trafficking. Fans of Statham will notice some familiar vibes here. Last year, he teamed up with Ayer for The Beekeeper, where he played a beekeeper with a secret special forces background. After a tragic event involving a friend, he goes on a revenge mission.
The trailers for both films share a similar emotional tone. In The Beekeeper, Statham says, “Mrs. Parker and I were friends,” while in A Working Man, he tells his boss, “You’re my family.” It’s clear that Statham is carving out a niche as the protector of the vulnerable.
From the looks of the trailer, we can expect plenty of action, crime, and those classic Statham stunts. A Working Man hits theaters on March 28, and we can’t wait to see who he’ll be saving next!
