New York: Lloyd Klein, the fiancé of Jocelyn Wildenstein, known as Catwoman, is speaking out after her passing. He says she didn’t deserve the ridicule and insists she wasn’t broke when she died. Klein, who was with her for 21 years, described her as fabulous and the love of his life. He’s heartbroken and still feels like he’s in a nightmare.

Klein clarified that Wildenstein was 79, not 84, when she passed away in her sleep from a pulmonary embolism. They had enjoyed a lovely dinner together just months before her death. Despite her financial troubles, Klein emphasized that she had a lavish lifestyle and was in good spirits before her passing.

Wildenstein had received a significant divorce settlement from her billionaire ex-husband, but payments were cut off in 2015, leading to her bankruptcy in 2018. She had assets but claimed to have no money left in her checking account. Klein mentioned that her financial issues stemmed from a fake painting that was part of her divorce settlement.

After her death, it was reported that Wildenstein was facing legal troubles in Miami for an unpaid debt. Klein stated that everything she owned is now tied up in legal matters, and he doesn’t expect to inherit anything. He just wants her to be remembered with dignity.

Klein shared that he took care of Wildenstein as best as he could, and they had a beautiful life together. He hasn’t spoken to her children since her passing, but he noted that Diane is handling the funeral arrangements. Klein praised Wildenstein as a devoted mother who spoiled her kids and took them on adventures.

Wildenstein’s life was marked by her marriage to Alec Wildenstein, which ended in a bitter divorce. Klein defended her against claims that she was obsessed with plastic surgery, saying she was a strong woman who survived public scrutiny. He believes she was ahead of her time in her appearance choices.

Despite the nickname Catwoman, Klein said Wildenstein had a great sense of humor about it. They often laughed about her looks and the comments people made. He recalled a funny incident when she had to identify herself as Catwoman to make a reservation.

Klein and Wildenstein had been together since 2003 and were living in Paris at the time of her death. He hopes to honor her memory by scattering her ashes at her ranch in Kenya and organizing a celebration of her life. He expressed his deep sadness but found comfort in knowing she didn’t suffer and passed away in style.
