Check out these five fun events happening in Holmes County this week
First up, there’s a new volunteer orientation at Love INC on Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m. It’s a chance to see how you can help the community using your unique skills. Plus, it’s free! Just call 330-473-6017 to sign up.
Next, on Friday from 11 a.m. to noon, the Holmes County District Public Library is hosting a Little Learners Playgroup. It’s perfect for kids up to age 5, with activities to boost reading and social skills. And guess what? It’s free too!
Later that day, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., there’s a spaghetti dinner fundraiser at the Clark Community Center. This event is to support the Crossan family during a tough time. Donations are welcome, so come enjoy some good food for a great cause.
On Saturday, you can catch a family-friendly comedy show at Shreve Community Church at 7 p.m., with a spaghetti dinner beforehand from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tickets for the show are $20 for adults and $10 for kids aged 5-18. The dinner is $10, and it all supports the church’s mission team.
Finally, from January 18-20, the Classic in the Country Challenge XXII is happening at the Perry Reese Center in Berlin. It’s a three-day event packed with high school girls’ basketball. Tickets are $15 for a single day or $40 for the whole weekend. Check out Classicinthecountry.org for more info.
So, whether you want to volunteer, enjoy some laughs, or watch some basketball, there’s plenty to do in Holmes County this week!
