A group of D.C. chefs will host a nine-course meal to raise funds for wildfire victims in California, supporting those affected by recent fires.

Washington: So, there’s this amazing event happening where a bunch of D.C. chefs are coming together to whip up a nine-course meal for charity. It’s all for folks in Southern California who’ve been hit hard by those terrible wildfires.
The Duck and Peach restaurant is hosting this special dinner on Thursday night, and all the money raised will go to the World Central Kitchen. They’ve been working tirelessly to feed people who’ve lost their homes since the fires started.
Chefs from popular spots around D.C. are joining in, led by Kat Petonito and Rochelle Cooper from The Duck and Peach. Other talented chefs like Jill Nguyen and Suresh Sundas will also be cooking up a storm.
The dinner kicks off at 6:30 p.m. and costs $175 per person. If you’re in the area, it’s at 300 7th St., SE. It’s a great way to enjoy some delicious food while helping those in need.
As of now, the fires have been devastating, with at least 24 lives lost and thousands of buildings destroyed. The World Central Kitchen has set up meal distribution sites to help feed those affected.
