Los Angeles: Big names are coming together for a concert fundraiser to help those affected by the wildfires still burning in the area.

The ‘FireAid’ concert is set for January 30 and will be streamed in AMC theaters across the country, plus on platforms like YouTube and Netflix. So far, the lineup includes stars like Billie Eilish, Joni Mitchell, Lady Gaga, and Stevie Nicks, among others.

This event will take place at the Intuit Dome and Kia Forum, organized by Live Nation and music manager Irving Azoff’s family. While The Eagles are linked to Azoff, they haven’t been confirmed for the concert yet.

Interestingly, this concert is happening just days before the Grammy Awards. Many of the usual parties for Grammy week have been canceled due to the fires, but Clive Davis’s annual party and a MusiCares benefit dinner are still on. It seems many artists are now focusing on the FireAid benefit instead.

There’s been some chatter in the music industry about whether the Grammys should even go ahead this year. Organizers of FireAid are planning to set up a new nonprofit to manage the funds raised, aiming to help rebuild and support families affected by the fires.

Tickets for the live concert will be available on Ticketmaster starting January 22 at noon Pacific Time.

Sadly, the wildfires have claimed 27 lives and destroyed over 12,300 structures. Currently, the Palisades Fire is only 22% contained, while the Eaton Fire is at 55% containment.

The financial impact of these fires is expected to surpass any previous wildfire in California’s history. Although LA is getting a break from the strong winds that fueled the fires, high winds are expected to return soon.
