Orchard Park: The Broncos were so close to getting the ball back during a key fourth down against the Bills. Instead of a turnover, they found themselves down by two scores.

Josh Allen made a great play, rolling out and throwing to Ty Johnson in the end zone. Johnson managed to catch the ball just before his ankle went out of bounds. The refs ruled it a touchdown, even after a review.

Broncos cornerback Pat Surtain II thought it was out, but he acknowledged it was a great catch. Riley Moss also felt the ball moved as it hit the ground.

This was a big moment in the game. The Bills were leading 13-7, and a stop would have given Denver a chance to tie or take the lead. Instead, the touchdown and a two-point conversion put Buffalo ahead 21-7.

Head coach Sean Payton mentioned it was tough to tell from the replay. Locke, who was covering Johnson, felt he could have deflected the ball if he hadn’t let up for a moment.

Allen held the ball for over six seconds before making the throw, and Surtain felt there were plays to be made that they just didn’t execute.
