Whoopi Goldberg is absent from The View due to a work commitment but will return next week
New York: So, The View was a bit different today. The usual crew was back after a long weekend, but guess who was missing? Yep, Whoopi Goldberg. Joy Behar, Alyssa Farah Griffin, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin, and Ana Navarro were all there, but Whoopi was nowhere to be found.
Last time they were on, the ladies were chatting about Michelle Obama skipping Trump’s inauguration. Whoopi wasn’t there on Friday either, so Joy took the lead as moderator.
Sunny was all about praising Obama’s choice, saying, “Yes, Lord. She is so right.” She even mentioned that Obama’s advice to “go high” has changed a bit. It was a lively discussion, but without Whoopi’s usual flair.
Ana chimed in, saying Obama is putting her mental health first, which is super important. She remembered how Obama welcomed Trump into the White House back in 2017, doing her duty as First Lady.
Today, they dove into more Trump talk, but it just wasn’t the same without Whoopi’s bold takes. If you’re wondering where she is, she’s busy with work commitments, as Joy mentioned. She’ll be back next week, so not too long to wait!
Whoopi’s got a few projects lined up, including the new Sister Act film and the Anansi Boys miniseries. So, she’s definitely keeping busy!
To catch The View, just tune in to ABC every weekday at 11/10c, or stream it online if you have a cable login. You can also find it on platforms like Fubo, YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, and Sling TV.
