Michael and Kristine Barnett, once adoptive parents of Natalia Grace, have faced legal troubles and personal changes since their divorce

The Barnetts adopted Natalia, a Ukrainian orphan with a rare condition, but things took a wild turn. They thought she was six when they adopted her in 2010, but later insisted she was actually 22. They even got a court to change her age!
After moving her into her own apartment, they left the country for Canada. In 2019, they faced neglect charges related to Natalia. Michael was found not guilty, while Kristine had her charges dropped due to lack of evidence.
The whole saga has been explored in a documentary series, with Natalia sharing her side of the story. Kristine, however, denies any wrongdoing and claims the allegations against her are false.
Now, Michael has remarried and seems to be trying to move on, while Kristine is hoping to get back to her work as a parenting author. It’s a complicated situation, and it looks like both are trying to find their way after all the chaos.
