New York: Wendy Williams opened up about her tough situation during a recent chat on “The Breakfast Club.” She revealed she has just $15 to her name while trying to escape her guardianship.

She said, “I have $15. I have $15. What does that do?” It’s pretty wild to think about. Her niece, Alex Finnie, joined the call and mentioned that there are some things Wendy just can’t discuss due to their legal issues with her guardian, Sabrina Morrisey.

Wendy is currently in a facility in New York and feels like she’s in prison. She insisted she’s not “cognitively impaired” but feels trapped. “I’m in this place where the people are in their 90s and their 80s and their 70s,” she said, expressing her frustration.

She also mentioned that her money feels like it’s “in prison.” It’s a tough spot for her, especially since she’s mostly isolated and doesn’t connect with the other residents. Wendy described her treatment as “emotional abuse” and said the system is broken.

After the interview, both Wendy and Alex worried about potential backlash from her guardian, which could mean losing phone privileges or missing her dad’s 94th birthday in Miami next month.

Wendy was placed under guardianship in 2022 after concerns about her well-being were raised. Her family has faced challenges in contacting her since then. Despite being diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia and aphasia, Wendy’s son recently stated that she is sober and they are fighting to bring her home.
