A teen has been arrested for the shooting death of Daily Jackson Jr, linked to another fatal incident last November
The suspect, who hasn’t been named yet, was taken into custody on Monday and is now at a juvenile facility in Bridgeport. Police plan to release the teen’s name once the case moves to adult court, which should happen soon.
Daily Jackson Jr. was shot in a drive-by while walking home on December 3. He was found lying in a driveway and rushed to Yale New Haven Hospital, but sadly, he didn’t make it.
Jackson was friends with another teen, Uzziah Shell, who was shot on November 22. Shell was also a student at Riverside Academy and was hit after classes ended. A nearby school bus was caught in the crossfire, but thankfully, no one on it was hurt.
Authorities think these shootings are connected, but they haven’t shared the details yet. A press conference is set for Wednesday afternoon to provide more information.
