Altadena: Dalyce Curry, a retired actress known for her roles in classics like The Blues Brothers, has sadly passed away at 95. The wildfires in Los Angeles took her life, as reported by ABC7.

Her remains were found at her home, which was completely destroyed by the Eaton Fire. Her granddaughter, Dalyce Kelley, shared the heartbreaking news on Facebook. She referred to her grandmother as “Momma D” and expressed how much she would be missed.

Kelley had taken Curry home after a hospital visit, unaware of the fire’s severity. She woke up to a text saying Curry’s home had lost power. When she rushed over, an officer informed her that the property was gone.

On Friday, Kelley was taken to the site of the ruins, which she described as “total devastation.” The only thing left was her grandmother’s blue Cadillac.

Another granddaughter, Loree Beamer-Wilkinson, mentioned how active Curry was, making her passing even more shocking. The fires have claimed at least 24 lives, with many still missing. The entertainment community has been vocal about the destruction, with many stars expressing their sorrow.
