Dalyce Curry, a beloved figure in Hollywood, tragically lost her life in the recent Los Angeles wildfires

Los Angeles: It’s such a sad story. Dalyce Curry, known as “Momma Dee,” passed away at 95 during the wildfires that swept through her neighborhood. She was a vibrant personality, always fabulous, as her granddaughter put it.
Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, she moved to Hollywood, where she mingled with some big names, even if she never hit the spotlight herself. She worked as an extra in films and had a special connection with Pearl Bailey.
Last week, after a hospital visit, her granddaughter dropped her off at home. They saw the fire in the distance but thought everything was fine. Sadly, the next morning, they learned her home had burned down.
It was heartbreaking. The family lost everything, including precious photos and memories. The only thing that survived was an old Cadillac she hoped to restore. It’s just so tragic that a life filled with such spirit ended this way.
Dalyce had a rich history in the arts, thanks to her mentor, Madame Sul-Te-Wan, who guided her into the industry. She even danced in “The Ten Commandments.” Later, she became a nurse, caring for others with the same love she shared with her family.
Her granddaughter will miss her positivity and strength, especially her wise words: “Nothing is as bad as it seems.” It’s a reminder for everyone affected by this disaster to hold on to hope.
