Urmston: A warning has gone out to parents after a man lunged at a schoolgirl just three miles from an attempted abduction in Irlam. The incident happened on Bowfell Road while a year seven student was walking home from school.

The girl reported that a man approached her, stopped, stared, and then lunged at her, which understandably scared her. This happened on January 14, just after another girl was grabbed nearby.

Greater Manchester Police are still searching for the suspects involved in the earlier incident. They’re looking for a man and a woman who were seen in a car and a van.

Flixton Girls School sent a letter to parents, urging them to talk to their kids about staying safe. The man involved in the latest incident is described as having dark hair and skin, and being of average height.

The police are treating the earlier case as an attempted abduction, and they’re asking anyone with information to come forward. If you see anything suspicious, don’t hesitate to report it.
