The NJ Lottery is set to host a unique Rock Paper Scissors competition with a $10,000 grand prize at American Dream in March.

A total of 384 players will compete in 383 matches. The top 12 will split a prize pool of $25,000, with the winner snagging a cool $10,000. Not too shabby, right?
So, how does it work? Players will start each game by saying, “Rock, paper, scissors, shoot,” while slapping their throwing hand into their other palm. If they’re not in sync, a referee will help them out. The shapes they throw need to be clear, too.
Matches will happen two at a time on the American Dream Stage. The first rounds are best three out of five, and the finals will be best four out of seven. Referees will be there to keep things fair and can call for “redoes” if needed. Their decisions are final, so no arguing!
To join in, you need to be at least 18 years old and available for both days if you win on the first day. You’ll also have to follow all the rules and agree to let your name and image be used for promotions. Plus, you’ll need to pay taxes on any winnings.
If you work for or live with someone from the New Jersey Lottery or its affiliates, you can’t compete. Interested? You can register at their website. Good luck to all the future champions!
