OLB Nik Bonitto’s impressive season sets him up for a lucrative contract extension
The Broncos also found a promising quarterback in Bo Nix. Despite a rocky start, he finished strong with 29 touchdowns and only eight interceptions. He even led the team in rushing several times, showing off his athleticism.
On the defensive side, S Brandon Jones stepped up big time, filling in for Pro Bowler Justin Simmons. He had a career-high 115 tackles and three interceptions, proving to be a valuable asset.
The offensive line has also improved significantly, allowing just 24 sacks all season. Garett Bolles and Quinn Meinerz have been key players in protecting the quarterback and creating opportunities.
However, the running game needs serious work. The Broncos struggled to find a consistent running back, and their performance against the Bills highlighted this issue. They only managed 79 yards on the ground, which is far from ideal.
In addition, the inside linebacker position has been a weak spot since Alex Singleton’s injury. Coverage issues have plagued the team, and they need to address this moving forward.
Lastly, Nix needs more reliable pass catchers. While Courtland Sutton had a solid season, the rest of the receiving corps needs to step up. The Broncos might look to add some talent in free agency or the draft to support their young quarterback. Overall, there’s a lot to build on, but some key areas need attention.
