Nick’s Family Diner in Orlando announces its closure after 15 years, thanking loyal customers and staff for their support throughout the years
People are sharing their heartfelt memories. One customer wrote about how Angela and her team always brightened their day, especially during tough times. Another recalled the first time they tasted the diner’s pancakes while waiting for their child to be born.
Known for its classic breakfasts and blue plate lunches, the diner was a local favorite. Jon Busdeker, a nearby resident, was surprised by the news, saying it always seemed busy. A staff member couldn’t confirm why they’re closing or if they’ll reopen elsewhere, but the owners expressed gratitude for the friendships built over the years.
They said, “Though we’ll no longer serve meals here, the friendships and community we’ve fostered will last forever.” Nick’s Family Diner, located at 5439 N. Orange Blossom Trail, will serve its last meal on January 19. It’s a bittersweet goodbye for many in the community.
