A new 22-storey apartment building in Salford aims to create 426 homes with shared spaces and stunning views of the city.
Salford: Exciting news! A new 22-storey apartment building is on the horizon. This project could bring 426 new homes to the city, which is pretty awesome.
Designed by re:shape, the building focuses on ‘co-living’. Residents will have their own private spaces but can enjoy shared areas for dining and leisure. Think winter gardens, a gym, and more.
The shared penthouse and roof terraces are meant to be vibrant social spots, offering amazing views of both Salford and Manchester. It’s all about creating a community vibe.
If everything goes as planned, this will be the third co-living tower in Salford. The first one got the green light last September, and another application is already in the works.
Robbie Nightingale from re:shape mentioned that local feedback helped shape this vision. They want to ensure that young people and key workers can find quality homes they can afford.
Ben Tabiner from Buttress Architects added that this project is a great chance to revitalize a key area along the riverside. It’s all about fostering a sense of community and belonging.
With 20% of the homes set to be affordable, this development aims to put local people first. It’s a win-win for the community and the city!
