Mike Tomlin dismisses trade rumors, expressing confidence in his role with the Steelers

Fans are feeling the heat, especially since the Steelers haven’t won a playoff game since 2016. They finished this season at 10-7, but that’s not enough to keep the fans happy.
Tomlin gets it, though. He knows the job comes with scrutiny. He said, “I embrace it. I enjoy the urgency that comes with what I do. I don’t make excuses for failure. I own it.” He’s aware of the frustrations and shares them, too.
Even though he hasn’t had a losing season since taking over in 2005, rumors are swirling. Some folks think other teams might be eyeing him if the Steelers decide to make a change.
Before Mike McCarthy was let go by the Cowboys, Jimmie Johnson suggested a coaching swap. He thought it could be a win-win for both teams.
Tomlin’s future is still up in the air. He recently mentioned he wasn’t sure if receiver George Pickens was late to a game. He’s under contract until 2027, and as of now, there’s no sign that owner Art Rooney II wants to part ways with him.
