Kirk Herbstreit slammed the Steelers for their poor start in a wild-card loss to the Ravens, highlighting their lack of fight and offensive struggles.
Herbstreit was on the Amazon Prime broadcast and said, “Where the hell is the fight? This is the Pittsburgh Steelers.” He was clearly disappointed, and honestly, who wouldn’t be? The Steelers had a rough end to the regular season, losing four straight games, and it looked like those issues carried right into the playoffs.
Derrick Henry was a beast for the Ravens, racking up 186 yards and two touchdowns. The Steelers didn’t even score until late in the third quarter when Russell Wilson connected with Van Jefferson for a touchdown. It was a tough watch for fans, especially in the first half when they were just getting dominated.
At one point, the Steelers had a chance to get back in the game after forcing a punt, but their offense stalled again. It was just one of those days where nothing seemed to go right. Coach Mike Tomlin admitted the Ravens were the better team that day, and it was clear that Lamar Jackson’s skills made a huge difference.
Wilson did his best, completing 20 of 29 passes for 270 yards and two touchdowns, but the Steelers’ offense just couldn’t keep up. They averaged 22.4 points per game during the regular season, but that didn’t translate to the playoffs against a tough Ravens defense.
Now, the Ravens are moving on, and they’ll either face the Bills or host the Texans next week. It’s a tough end for the Steelers, and fans are left wondering what went wrong this season.
