Manchester United took a jab at Arsenal players Saliba and Jorginho following their FA Cup win, stirring up some social media buzz.
It all started when United tweeted “Justice” after knocking Arsenal out of the competition. This was right after a controversial penalty call that went Arsenal’s way but was saved. United won the shootout, and that tweet felt like a little dig at the refs.
Interestingly, it seems the FA won’t be taking any action against United for their cheeky social media antics. They didn’t stop there, though. They also referenced a moment when Bruno Fernandes scored, which seemed to be a nod to Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta’s earlier complaints about a match against Newcastle.
Then, they really went for it by posting a video that highlighted a mix-up between Saliba and Jorginho during the game. The video showed them colliding while Joshua Zirkzee made a break for it, and it was clear they were having a laugh at the expense of the Arsenal players.
Zirkzee ended up scoring the winning penalty, securing United’s spot in the next round against Leicester City. After the match, Amorim praised his players for their fighting spirit, saying they deserved the win despite Arsenal having more chances. It was a tough match, but they held their ground and came out on top.
