Liverpool’s injury situation is improving, but Joe Gomez remains sidelined as they prepare for Nottingham Forest
Earlier in December, they welcomed back Alisson, Kostas Tsimikas, Harvey Elliott, Diogo Jota, and Federico Chiesa. It’s a relief after all those injury woes.
There was a bit of a scare when Jarell Quansah had to leave the game against Tottenham, but thankfully, it was just an illness. He played a full match against Accrington Stanley afterward, so all good there.
Now, about Joe Gomez—he’s still out. He hurt his hamstring during the 5-0 win over West Ham, and it didn’t look good since he went down without any contact.
As for when he’ll be back, that’s still a mystery. The coach, Arne Slot, mentioned that Gomez is not in a good spot and will be out for a few weeks.
Also, Darwin Nunez won’t be available for the Nottingham Forest match either. He picked up a yellow card in the draw against Manchester United, which means he’ll miss this game.
So, while things are looking up for some players, Gomez and Nunez will be missed in the upcoming match.
