George Pickens was late to the Steelers’ game against the Chiefs, raising concerns about his commitment to the team

Coach Mike Tomlin had told everyone to be at Acrisure Stadium at least two hours before kickoff. But Pickens rolled in just an hour and 25 minutes before the game. Yikes!
When asked about it, Tomlin said he couldn’t say for sure if Pickens was late. But it’s clear that this isn’t the first time Pickens has had some issues. He played his usual amount, but only caught three passes for 50 yards in the 29-10 loss.
After the game, when asked about the team’s offensive progress, Pickens simply said, “nah.” That’s not exactly a vote of confidence. Tomlin has previously mentioned that Pickens needs to “grow up” and handle the pressure better.
He even got fined earlier this season for some eye black shenanigans and a scuffle with a Browns player. It seems like he’s following in the footsteps of other Steelers receivers who had their own drama.
With Pickens in the last year of his rookie contract, the Steelers might be thinking about their options moving forward. It’s a tough spot for him, and fans are definitely watching closely.
