Starting January 22, crews will clear culverts on Highway 200 near Itasca State Park, causing possible lane closures.
If you’re driving in that area, be ready for some slow-moving equipment and maybe a few lane closures. The whole job should wrap up in about four days, so it won’t take long.
Just a heads up to everyone living along the highway: make sure to take down any fences, signs, or other stuff you might have near the road. If you don’t, the contractor might have to remove them, and you don’t want that hassle. Mailboxes and fire numbers are safe, so no need to worry about those.
This work is part of getting ready for a bigger road project coming up in July 2025. That project will include resurfacing the road, replacing culverts, and putting in new guardrails. If you want more details, check out the project website.
