Carlisle United’s head coach Mike Williamson hints at more signings before facing Bradford City this weekend
Williamson mentioned that “a few things are happening” as the team gears up for their match at Brunton Park. He’s expecting both new arrivals and some players to leave.
When asked about the chances of new signings before facing the Bantams, he said, “Fingers crossed, yes.” He’s hopeful they’ll have some announcements in the next day or so.
Williamson also noted that they might see “two or three” players leave the squad soon, with changes expected by next week. The team is still looking to strengthen their wide positions and attack.
They’ve already signed Will Patching, Elliot Embleton, Callum Whelan, Cedwyn Scott, Sean Fusire, Paul Dummett, and Stephen Wearne. Recently, they lost loan players Harrison Biggins, Daniel Adu-Adjei, and Dominic Sadi, who were on the bench for AFC Bournemouth in their recent match against Chelsea.
When asked about making moves in the loan market, Williamson confirmed, “Yes – we’re scouring every market.” He added that they’ve been looking at free agents and available loans, but most of their recent signings have been permanent deals.
