Flores, who hails from Brooklyn, is set to chat with the Jets virtually soon. He’s an interesting pick, especially since he’s got head coaching experience from his time with the Dolphins.
During his three years in Miami, he had a record of 24-25, finishing strong in his last two seasons. The Jets are keen on hiring someone with experience, especially since they’ve mostly gone for first-timers in the past.
However, Flores comes with a bit of baggage. His exit from Miami raised eyebrows, as it wasn’t due to poor coaching but rather issues with team dynamics. The Dolphins’ owner mentioned a lack of collaboration under Flores.
There were reports of him clashing with key players and staff, leading to a rocky environment. Ryan Fitzpatrick, who played for Flores, even described him as becoming a “dictator” by the end of his tenure.
