Ventura: A new wildfire erupted in Ventura County late Monday night. Firefighters are already stretched thin, battling other blazes in the Los Angeles area.

The Auto Fire started near a river and spread quickly, covering about 56 acres with no containment. Evacuations were ordered, but thankfully, no structures are currently threatened.

Fire officials are on high alert due to a “Particularly Dangerous Situation” warning. Dry conditions and Santa Ana winds are making things worse.

Sadly, the wildfires in the region have already claimed 24 lives, with many still missing. Search efforts are ongoing, and it’s a tough job for the crews involved.

Firefighters from all over the U.S. and beyond are working tirelessly to combat these wildfires. The winds in Ventura County are particularly strong, with gusts reaching up to 60 mph.

While there may be brief lulls in the wind, the danger remains high. Fire Weather Warnings are in place, but relief is expected later in the week as conditions improve.
