Wythenshawe: Recently, some shocking photos surfaced showing two teens riding on tram connectors. They were spotted near Hollyhedge Road on a Friday afternoon.

In the images, you can see them leaning on the front of the tram cars, with their feet on the coupler that links the carriages. These pictures were taken right outside Manchester College and quickly went viral in a local social media group, getting tons of reactions.

People were understandably upset. One commenter hoped the kids’ parents would see the photos and give them a serious talking-to. Another person expressed their anger, saying it made them feel sick just thinking about what could happen if one of them fell.

Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) has acknowledged the situation, calling it “incredibly reckless.” They’ve reported it to the police. Ian Davies, the Network Director for Metrolink, emphasized how dangerous this behavior is and urged everyone to stay safe.

TfGM staff regularly patrol the area, but they encourage anyone who sees something like this to report it to the police or Metrolink staff right away. Greater Manchester Police has been contacted for further comments on the incident.
