The Yankees are keen on bringing back Tim Hill, but the Mets are also in the mix for the left-handed reliever this offseason

The Yankees have some gaps to fill in their roster, especially in the bullpen. They need a lefty, an infielder, and a backup catcher. Hill is a solid option after his playoff performance last year.
They missed out on Japanese pitcher Roki Sasaki, but their rotation is still looking good. However, they need to replace some arms in the bullpen, especially with Tommy Kahnle available after a rough end to the World Series.
They’re also eyeing other lefties like Andrew Chafin and former Met Brooks Raley, who is recovering from Tommy John surgery.
Recently, the Yankees added some depth by trading for right-hander Michael Arias from the Cubs. He’s got a strong arm but struggled with control in the minors.
Arias was originally a shortstop before the Cubs turned him into a pitcher. Now, with his signing, the Yankees have 38 players on their 40-man roster.
