Bury: The construction of Jubilee Heights, a new care home, is officially underway in Bury town center. This site, which used to be the Bury police headquarters, has been empty since 2018.

The new care home is set to open by January 2026 and will cater to adults with various complex needs, including mental health issues and physical disabilities. Exemplar Health Care is behind this project, and they plan to have 40 en-suite bedrooms across four units.

They’re going for a cozy, home-like vibe with communal spaces, sensory bathrooms, and even a salon. Plus, there will be a therapy room and an activities hub to keep residents engaged.

Once it’s up and running, Jubilee Heights will be Exemplar’s sixth care home in Greater Manchester. They’re expecting to create around 100 new healthcare jobs, covering everything from care and nursing to management and admin roles.

Lindsay Holcroft from Exemplar Health Care shared that their goal is to enhance the daily lives of residents by focusing on personalized care. They want to empower people to live fulfilling lives while also providing essential services to the local community. It sounds like a great addition to Bury!
