A woman was discovered dead in a restaurant toilet after being unnoticed for three days, leaving her family heartbroken.
Sabrina, 47, was discovered at The Gurkha Buffet Restaurant. Jade and her grandmother, Christine, are heartbroken, especially knowing her mum was in the disabled toilet while others were dining nearby.
Jade mentioned that customers complained about not being able to access the toilet, thinking it was a lock issue. When staff finally checked, they found Sabrina. It’s infuriating for Jade, who feels her mum could have been found sooner if the restaurant had done regular checks.
CCTV footage showed Sabrina entering the restaurant on November 28. Jade speculated that her mum might have gone into the toilet to get warm, especially since she had just been released from prison.
Despite the circumstances, Jade remembers her mum as a kind and funny person who struggled with addiction and homelessness for years. A police spokesperson confirmed they were called to the scene and that the death is not being treated as suspicious. The investigation is ongoing, and the restaurant has been contacted for a comment.
