The Winter Ag and Construction Expo in Jamestown features seminars, vendors, and a free lunch for farmers on January 16-17

Lynn Lambrecht, the expo’s general manager, mentioned that this year’s seminars cover everything from marketing trends to crop insurance. There’s even a panel discussion on the recently signed Farm Bill, which should spark some interesting questions from producers.
Expect to see new vendors and machinery this year, plus plenty of door prizes, including tickets to see the Minnesota Twins. There are 57 vendors in total, featuring companies like Titan Machinery and Central Sales, along with tasty treats from Reister Meats and Sweet Dreams Mini-Donuts.
And don’t forget the Unison Bank Free Farmers Appreciation lunch, which is always a hit. The exhibits will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days, and the lunch is at noon. Best of all, admission is free!
On Friday, there’s a special program called Ag in the Classroom, where fourth graders from local schools will learn about agriculture. They’ll discover fun facts like how honey is made and where chocolate milk comes from.
The schedule is packed with informative sessions, including a pancake feed, pesticide certification courses, and discussions on crop input trends. It’s a fantastic opportunity for anyone in the ag community to connect and learn.
