Will Texas See Snow This Weekend? 6 Maps Reveal the Cold Forecast

Austin: Texans might be in for some snow soon. Just last week, a polar vortex brought snow and freezing temps, and now another cold snap is on the way for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend.

This weekend, we’re looking at even colder weather. Some areas could see single-digit lows and temps in the low teens, making it the coldest stretch of winter so far.

Arctic air is rolling back into Texas, bringing below-freezing temps, biting wind chills, and a shot at wintry weather again.

The cold front is expected to sweep in late Saturday into early Sunday, sticking around until Tuesday before things start to warm up a bit midweek.

Across the state, temps will vary. The Panhandle and South Plains might see lows in the single digits, with highs only reaching the teens and low 20s.

While no part of Texas is forecasted to hit subzero temps, some areas in the Panhandle could get dangerously close, dropping to around 1 degree.

According to the National Weather Service, we could see some snowfall this weekend into early next week in several parts of Texas.
