Wichita: So, there’s some construction going on for the new Biomedical Campus in downtown Wichita, and it’s shaking up traffic a bit. The city has announced some changes to how the streets will work around the site.

For starters, William will be one-way heading west. Broadway will stay two-way but will be squeezed down to one lane in each direction. English will switch to one-way going east, and Topeka will be one-way southbound for now. Eventually, it’ll change to northbound once everything is set up.

When it’s all finished, this campus is going to be pretty impressive. It’ll bring together WSU’s College of Health Professions, the Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic, and health care programs from WSU Tech, along with the KU School of Medicine and Pharmacy.

The building will be massive—350,000 square feet, eight stories tall, and it’ll have a three-story pavilion. There will be classrooms, labs, a student success center, lounges, study spaces, offices, and meeting areas. It’s going to be a great addition to the area!
