Gen Beta, born from 2025 to 2039, reflects an updated generation shaped by AI
This new generation will include kids born from 2025 to 2039. Their parents will mostly be younger millennials and older Gen Z folks. And guess what? Many of these kids might even see the next millennium!
Now, not everyone is thrilled about the name. Some folks on social media are poking fun at it since “Beta” can sometimes mean weak. But McCrindle insists it’s not meant to be an insult. He just wanted to keep the Greek letter theme going.
When they named Gen Alpha, they chose Greek letters to mark a fresh start in the 21st century. They didn’t want to go back to “A” because that felt too old school.
Looking ahead, it seems like the naming will keep going in order—Beta, Gamma, Delta, and so on. McCrindle says while the name doesn’t have a deep meaning, it does suggest something new and improved, like a software update.
As for Gen Beta, they’ll be growing up in a world where AI is everywhere. While Gen Alpha saw the rise of smart tech, Gen Beta will live in a time when AI is just part of daily life—think schools, jobs, and even healthcare.
Parents from Gen Z will likely be more cautious about how their kids use tech. They might push for more outdoor time, even as everything becomes more tech-friendly.
But McCrindle believes that even with all this tech, the core human needs—like connection and trust—will always stick around. So, while things change, some things will always stay the same.
