Cincinnati: Warming shelters are popping up all over the region to help folks escape the freezing temperatures. With over 14.6 inches of snow from recent storms, it’s been a rough week.

The National Weather Service says we’re in for more cold, with highs staying below freezing until Friday. Monday night could see lows around 10 degrees, and wind chills will make it feel even colder.

For those looking for a warm spot, there are several options in Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. The Emergency Shelter of Northern Kentucky is opening two locations as warming centers this week.

In Campbell County, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Newport is open overnight from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Meanwhile, Covington’s Emergency Shelter is a 24-hour warming center, though they’re full on beds and will provide chairs instead.

In Cincinnati, all recreation centers are serving as daytime warming spots. You can check their hours and locations online. There’s also an overnight shelter at 411 Gest St.

Butler County is also stepping up. The MidPointe Library System has several branches open as warming shelters during the day. Locations include libraries in Liberty, Monroe, West Chester, and more.

Warren County has a handy map showing where you can find warming shelters. Some options include the Countryside YMCA in Maineville and Lebanon, as well as local libraries.

Lastly, Batavia’s One Way Church is offering a 24-hour warming shelter until Wednesday morning. It’s located at 4650 State Route 132.
