Surveillance footage shows a man exiting an ambulette before musician Peter Forrest was discovered dead in the Bronx
Bronx: A shocking incident unfolded when surveillance video showed a man leaving an ambulette just before Peter Forrest, a musician from 24-7 Spyz, was found dead inside.
The video, obtained by News12, shows the ambulette stopping at Castle Hill Ave. around 9 a.m. on Monday. About 30 minutes later, a man exits the driver’s side and gets into another car.
By 10 a.m., another ambulette arrived, as a coworker tracked Forrest’s vehicle after he missed scheduled pickups. They found him unresponsive in the back.
Forrest, 64, was discovered lying face down with a broken window and blood around him. Authorities confirmed he died from blunt force trauma.
Known as P. Fluid, Forrest was part of the original lineup of 24-7 Spyz, a band that blended various music styles and gained recognition in the ’90s.
His ex-girlfriend, Chiedza Makonnen, expressed her heartbreak over his murder, emphasizing his passion for music and the impact he had on Black rock musicians.
Forrest was last in contact with his colleagues around 8 a.m. When he didn’t respond later, they grew worried and eventually found him dead.
His colleague described the situation as a terrible tragedy, and they are cooperating with the investigation. As of now, no arrests have been made.
