Worcester: So, here’s the scoop. Two guys, Richard Gabrila and Shane Bowen, are in hot water for their roles in the death of Mitchell Burke. His body was found in Hubbardston, and it looks like these two helped move it after the fact.

Burke was only 32, and he had some serious injuries, including a fractured skull. His pants were pulled down, which is just awful. His mom said he left her place to meet up with his old boss, Ryan Wilcox, on New Year’s Eve.

Wilcox, who’s also been charged, admitted to hitting Burke with a metal bat. No one really knows why it happened, though. Bowen, who was with them that night, confessed to helping dispose of the body and clean up the scene.

Gabrila drove the truck used in the crime and then got rid of Burke’s car keys in a sewer. Both men pleaded not guilty, and Gabrila’s bail is set at $20,000. Bowen’s out on personal recognizance but has to wear an ankle monitor.

There are more hearings coming up, so this story isn’t over yet. It’s just a tragic situation all around.
