Hall County: A daycare owner and her worker are in hot water after giving kids too much medicine. It all started when a worried parent took their children to the doctor. The kids were acting lethargic and irritable, which raised some red flags.

The doctor ran some blood tests and found high levels of melatonin and Benadryl in their systems. Turns out, the kids had been getting these meds daily before naptime at the daycare run by Stacie Fuller Young, 51, and her daughter-in-law, Ptiery Verby-Sunshine Edge, 35.

They were arrested and charged with reckless conduct after the investigation revealed the alarming situation. Both posted a bond of $5,200 shortly after.

Interestingly, Young wasn’t even licensed to run a daycare, which is a big no-no. The state’s Department of Early Childcare and Learning is now looking into the case. They’ve advised parents to check the licensing status of any childcare provider to ensure their kids are safe.

If anyone has more info about this case, they’re encouraged to reach out to the authorities. It’s a serious matter, and keeping our kids safe is the top priority.
