Two individuals were arrested for violating curfew near Kamala Harris’ home during the ongoing Palisades Fire in California
The LAPD caught them around 4:30 a.m. and it seems they were just wandering around, not really knowing what was going on. Harris’ neighborhood is in a mandatory evacuation zone since the fire is moving toward populated areas in Los Angeles.
A curfew from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. was set for places affected by the fires, which include some pretty fancy homes owned by celebrities. Thankfully, the two men weren’t on Harris’ property when they were arrested.
Harris and her husband bought their four-bedroom home back in 2012, and it’s valued at about $4.79 million. The Palisades Fire has been devastating, claiming at least five lives and destroying over 23,600 acres.
As of Saturday night, the fire was only 11 percent contained and had damaged more than 5,000 structures. There are around 4,720 personnel and 82 crews working hard to control the blaze.
Harris has expressed her concern for those affected by the wildfires, saying her heart goes out to everyone forced to evacuate. She also praised the first responders risking their lives to keep communities safe.
