In his second speech, Trump showcased his grievances, diverging from unity to focus on his enemies and controversial issues.
Washington, D.C.: So, after his big inaugural speech, you’d think Trump might chill for a bit, right? Nope! He jumped right back into his usual groove, letting everyone know how he really feels.
In his second speech, he didn’t hold back. He went off on the House Jan. 6 Committee, called them “political thugs,” and took shots at Pelosi and Biden. It was like the gloves came off, and the real Trump was back.
Honestly, it’s the version of Trump that makes a lot of folks uneasy. He didn’t even mention the economy or jobs in that first speech, which is telling. Instead, he just aired out all his grievances.
He claimed that while everyone else is worried about inflation, he thinks the bigger issue is criminals coming into the country. He said, “I made it my No. 1.” It’s a pretty bold stance, for sure.
He also shared that he wanted to say more in his main speech but was told to keep it “beautiful and unifying.” But when he got to the second speech, he let loose about Jan. 6 and the border situation.
And, of course, he couldn’t resist talking about how he was cheated out of votes, even though he lost California by millions. He told Speaker Mike Johnson he’d get involved to fix things. Classic Trump.
In the end, he wrapped it up by saying he thought his second speech was way better than the first. Well, he would think that, wouldn’t he?
