As wildfires ravage Los Angeles, Trump warns of a grim death toll and plans recovery efforts

So far, at least 24 lives have been lost, and thousands of homes have been destroyed since the fires began last Tuesday. Firefighters are still battling the flames, trying to get everything under control.
Trump has been critical of Governor Gavin Newsom’s response to the crisis. He thinks the confirmed deaths are just the tip of the iceberg as first responders sift through the wreckage.
In an interview, Trump expressed his shock at the devastation. He said, “They’re going to find many bodies, you know. Only the dogs will find them, right?” He’s clearly shaken by the scale of destruction, comparing it to a nuclear disaster.
The wildfires have already burned over 40,000 acres and wiped out more than 12,000 structures, leaving entire neighborhoods in ruins.
Looking ahead, Trump is eager to help with recovery efforts. He mentioned putting on his developer hat to assist in rebuilding Los Angeles, saying he’s seen images that show the damage is even worse than what’s been shown on TV.
