Washington, DC: So, President-elect Trump is gearing up for a big first day in office. He’s planning to sign over 200 executive actions right off the bat. His goal? To clean up what he calls a “failed and corrupt political establishment.” Sounds ambitious, right?

He’s got about 50 executive orders lined up, which are legally binding. Some of these will focus on border security and energy production. Others aim to ensure that federal workers are hired based on merit. His team says he’ll start signing these orders as soon as he’s inaugurated.

Trump’s senior adviser, Jason Miller, mentioned that many of these actions will be part of “omnibus” directives. He’s even hinted at signing at least 25 orders on Day One. That’s a lot of paperwork!

One of the big moves includes declaring a national border emergency, which would effectively shut down the southern US border. It’s still unclear if anything will happen at the northern border right away.

Some of his plans have already leaked, like a mass deportation initiative that’s set to kick off in Chicago right after he takes office. He’s also looking to end automatic citizenship for children of illegal migrants born in the US. That’s a pretty controversial move!

Trump has made it clear that he’ll sign an executive order to clarify that future children of illegal aliens won’t automatically get US citizenship. This could lead to some legal battles since it might conflict with the 14th Amendment.

He’s also planning to suspend security clearances for 51 national security officials tied to the Hunter Biden laptop scandal. Plus, he wants to pause government offshore-wind leases and roll back electric vehicle mandates from the Biden administration.

On the campaign trail, he joked about wanting to be a “dictator for one day” to push for more domestic oil production. After that, he claims he’ll step back from that role.

Trump’s also set to implement strict policies for federal workers, warning them they could be fired if they don’t follow his directives. He wants to ensure that hiring is based on merit and that employees return to the office instead of working remotely.

He’s aiming to refocus the government on serving the American people, saying there’s been a lot of corruption and abuse in the federal workforce.

And here’s a surprising twist: he plans to grant pardons to everyone arrested in connection with the January 6 Capitol attack. That’s over 1,600 people charged with various crimes!

Oh, and he even wants to rename the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America. Talk about making a statement!

Interestingly, just before his inauguration, TikTok went offline to comply with a congressional mandate. Trump claimed he had a plan to “save” it, and it was back online shortly after. Seems like he’s already making waves!
