A new book reveals Donald Trump’s reaction to Kristi Noem’s controversial dog incident

South Dakota: So, there’s this wild story about Kristi Noem and a dog. Apparently, she wrote in her memoir about having to butcher a 14-month-old dog named Cricket. Not exactly a great look, right?
Donald Trump, who isn’t exactly a dog lover himself, found it pretty funny. He joked with his son, Don Jr., saying, “Even you wouldn’t kill a dog, and you kill everything.” That’s some serious shade!
This whole mess really hurt Noem’s chances of being Trump’s running mate. She was seen as a strong contender, but after that dog incident, things changed fast.
Noem, who’s 53 now, didn’t hold back in her book “No Going Back.” She called Cricket “untrainable” and “dangerous.” Yikes! She even suggested that Biden should’ve taken a page from her book when it came to his dog, Commander, who had some biting issues.
In a twist, Noem had tried to include this dog story in her first book but was stopped by her publisher. Talk about bad timing!
There’s also some gossip about Noem and Corey Lewandowski, Trump’s former campaign manager. Trump seemed to enjoy the rumors about them having an affair, which didn’t help Noem’s chances at all.
In February 2024, Trump met with Noem and asked her about her state’s strict abortion laws. He was impressed but worried about how Democrats might use that against her.
Trump’s team has dismissed the book’s claims as “salacious and unverified.” Noem’s spokesperson also denied the affair allegations, calling them fake news. The book, “Revenge,” is set to come out on March 18, so we’ll see what else it reveals!
