Donald Trump criticized special counsel Jack Smith for his recent report on election interference, calling him ‘deranged’ and ‘lamebrain’
Trump, who’s 78, took to Truth Social early Tuesday to vent his frustrations right after the report came out. He said Smith couldn’t even prosecute his “boss,” which he called “Crooked Joe Biden.”
He raged about how Smith’s report was based on info that was supposedly destroyed by a committee, claiming it showed he was innocent while others, like Nancy Pelosi, were guilty.
Smith, the special counsel, had been working on this for a while. He was appointed by Attorney General Merrick Garland right after Trump announced his 2024 run. The report, which is 174 pages long, was finally delivered to Congress after a last-minute legal attempt by Trump’s team to block it failed.
In the report, Smith accused Trump of trying to obstruct the vote collection and certification process after losing to Biden in 2020. He even said that if it weren’t for Trump’s election, there was enough evidence to convict him. It’s a pretty intense situation!
