Todd ‘Mack’ MacGillivray, founder of Foursided stores, has died at 57, leaving a lasting impact on the Chicago community and beyond

Mack and his husband, Gino Pinto, opened the first Foursided store in 2002 on Broadway in Lakeview. They quickly became known for their unique gifts, artwork, and custom framing. Over the years, they expanded to several locations, including another Lakeview store and shops in Andersonville.
Mack was more than just a business owner; he was a vital part of the Lakeview East community. He served on the board of the Lakeview East Chamber of Commerce and even founded the Lakeview East Festival of the Arts. The chamber expressed how much he meant to the community, highlighting his creativity and kindness.
The Andersonville Chamber of Commerce also shared their condolences, calling him a pillar of the Chicago creative scene. They encouraged everyone to support Foursided as a cherished small business.
Mack was known for his unique art and his ability to inspire others. He mentored many artists and made art accessible to everyone. Born in Detroit and raised in Michigan, he moved to Chicago in 2001 to be with Gino.
A remembrance service is set for January 26 at Artifact Events, and all Foursided locations will close that day to honor him. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Chicago Diabetes Project in his memory.
