Washington: Wow, things are getting intense! TikTok creators are really upset about the app possibly shutting down soon. They’re sharing their feelings online, and it’s pretty emotional.

Kelsey Pumel, one of the creators, didn’t hold back, saying, “F–k this country,” after the Supreme Court decided to uphold the ban. She’s not alone; many are feeling the same way.

Another creator, Madilynn Cameron, expressed her frustration, saying the government has let them down. TikTok has become a huge part of their lives, and now it’s all at risk.

With over 170 million users in the US, TikTok has been under pressure due to national security concerns linked to its parent company, ByteDance. They’ve denied any wrongdoing, but it hasn’t helped.

As the ban approaches, many creators are worried about their income. Emily Senn, who has built a following of over 347,000, shared how TikTok has been a lifeline for her financially. Losing it feels devastating.

She mentioned how much effort she put into her content and how it’s more than just an app for her; it’s a community. It’s tough to think about what comes next without it.

Many creators have relied on TikTok for their livelihoods, and reports say it supports around 224,000 jobs and contributed significantly to the economy. Some even left their regular jobs to focus on content creation.

With the ban looming, users are looking for alternatives. Some are trying out Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts, while others are moving to a Chinese app called RedNote, which has seen a surge in downloads.

Interestingly, President Biden isn’t enforcing the ban and is leaving the decision to the incoming president, Donald Trump, who has had a change of heart about TikTok.

Trump, who once wanted to ban the app, is now looking for ways to keep it running in the US. The CEO of TikTok, Shou Zi Chew, thanked Trump for his support in finding a solution.

For now, it looks like TikTok will be shutting down soon, but there’s still hope that it might not be the end. Users might see a message when trying to access the app, but it could still be on their phones without updates.
