His company, Gastropub Kitchen Co Ltd, has applied for planning permission to change the use of the building from retail to a drinking establishment and restaurant. The Crafty Fox, which opened in 2021, features a Victorian-inspired design and a farm-to-table menu.
Paul mentioned they’re in talks to acquire the adjacent property, which has been vacant for over 20 years. He’s excited about the chance to revitalize the area and enhance the local dining scene. Paul has a history in the hospitality industry, having previously run The Attic nightclub and worked at other local venues. After spending nearly a year renovating the 170-year-old building that houses The Crafty Fox, he’s thrilled with its success and looks forward to what’s next for the bar and the community.
