Robertson County: A heartbreaking incident occurred when a 7-year-old girl and a 4-year-old boy lost their lives in a crash. It happened on a Friday night, and the driver, Lukas Mansfield, is now facing serious charges.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Mansfield was driving a 2022 RAM 1500 on Highway 161 when he veered off the road. The crash happened around 7:30 p.m. at a specific location on the highway.

His vehicle hit a culvert and then flew into the air, crashing into a utility pole. Thankfully, Mansfield was wearing his seatbelt, and he didn’t suffer any injuries.

Sadly, neither of the children had their seatbelts on, which contributed to the tragic outcome. Both kids were fatally injured in the accident.

Mansfield is now charged with two counts of aggravated vehicular homicide and driving under the influence for the third time. He’s currently being held on a $10,000 bond.

The investigation is still ongoing, and more details may come to light as it progresses.
